Summer Flute Playday

with Sheffield Flute Choir
Picture
Saturday 5th August 2017, 10am-4.30pm
Sharrow Performing Arts Space, Sheffield
For flute players aged 18 and over, around Grade 5 standard upwards.
Cost: £15

Bring your flutes (plus piccolos, alto and bass flutes and any bigger ones too!) to sunny Sheffield* for a day of group playing. We’re opening up our usual Saturday rehearsal and turning it into a full day. We're planning a relaxed day – no pressure, just a chance to get together with other flute players and try out some music. Whether you play regularly or are a bit ‘rusty’, you’re very welcome!

Try out pieces from our library, including some works written especially for Sheffield Flute Choir. Bring along your favourite pieces for multiple flutes or music you own that you haven't had a chance to hear played by lots of flutes yet. Write or arrange music for flutes? We'd be really happy to try it out!

Depending on numbers there may be opportunities to break off into smaller groups and try some trios/ quartets .

Tea, coffee and plenty of biscuits and cake provided!
*sunshine not guaranteed.
